On August 30, 1937, no "wonder" boxer Tommy Farr put British Boxing on the map at Yankee Stadium. Joe Louis beat Tommy Farr in fifteen-round Heavyweight Boxing Title. Farr went the distance and fought for twelve of the fifteen rounds with two cut eyes. In a narrow points decision, the American crowd booed when Louis was awarded the win.
