Level 31 Otaku wielding dual pens.
My friend once dubbed me "The Ubiquitous Otaku," and I rather liked it, so it stuck. It probably has something to do with the fact that she used the word "ubiquitous," but it's still a decently accurate title. When it comes to my interests, I tend to be everywhere and nowhere at once.
My actual name is Rallante, but please feel free to call me Te. This site has always interested me because I love the idea of a social site for geeks, and when, in the past, I was a more active member, I even met up with a few members (dated one of them for a while. Sadly, it didn't work out.)
I've always considered myself Otaku-ish rather than an actual Otaku because although I can often be that geek who stays in the house marathoning old sci-fi shows, anime, and sometimes cartoons (batman beyond =D), I also have my moments of attempted social interaction. I think I do an okay job of it when I put in the effort, but it's SO much work sometimes. I'd usually much prefer to stay in playing videogames, watching anime, and possibly writing fanfics. I often do so to the point of forgetting to mind diurnal schedules. Sunlight can be such a bothersome thing...
Oh yeah. Also, I like playing magic the gathering, but I'm also looking for people who are willing to join me on a D&D adventure. I've got into it quite a bit lately.
I think all geeks are cool. I sometimes can't keep up with certain bookworms, but I enjoy talking comic books (even though I don't really read many). If you're into any of the same things as I am or are just an interesting person, I'm sure we'll get along. If you're not, but you're into anything else that's cool, and you're open to any of my hobbies, that'll work too. I'd love to make a few more like-minded friends to help me sate my inner-geek desires.
